  • The Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) Program is a three/ four-year degree Program offered by the university with a view to impart in-depth knowledge and broad understanding of various nuances of Commerce.
  • The curriculum of BCom degree provides a carefully selected subject combination of multiple subjects like Accounting, Economics, Management & Decision Science, Banking & Insurance, and Commercial Law.
  • The objective of the Program is to produce graduates equipped with the knowledge, skills and attitude to meet the challenges of the modern business organizations, and equips them to pursue MCom degree Program in due course.

Award of Degree

Students who successfully completes the BCom Program will be awarded the Bachelor of Commerce Degree by the University, subject to University Regulation.

*Payment of Admission Fee and Semester Fee will allow the allotment of enrollment numbers to each student. Students with enrollment numbers will be allowed to attend classes.

The B.Com Program under NEP 2020 is organized into 8 Semesters in 4 Years. There is Discipline Specific Courses (Major) along with Discipline Specific Elective Courses (Minor) related to Commerce. Apart from these, the students will also study Multidisciplinary Courses (MDC), Ability Enhancement Courses (AEC), Skill Enhancement Courses (SEC) and Value-Added Courses (VAC). Students desirous to exit after First or Second Year will undertake a Work-

Based Vocational Course (Internship/Apprenticeship) mandatorily. In Semester IV, the students will have the option to undertake MOOCs classes under SWAYAM. Semester V of the program offers a mandatory Internship Program or Dissertation for each student.

The above courses are common to all UG Programs BCom from which any one course is to be selected by a student however subjected to a number of more than 10 students.

Admission Modalities

The Admission Modalities are with reference to the campus-based B.Com Programs offered by the ICFAI University at Nagaland. The medium of instruction is English.

Duration:

Three / Four years.

Eligibility

Pass 10+2 with minimum 40% marks (any discipline). Students awaiting final examination results are also eligible to apply.

For the purpose of determining eligibility based on aggregate percentage of marks, the procedure used by the respective University in award of the degree will only be taken into consideration. All UG/ PG/PhD applicants should have completed a minimum of 12/15/17 years of formal education by August 03 2026, respectively. Applicants who have completed their graduation on one-time sitting basis or a 2-year basis are not eligible for admission to the Postgraduate Programs

Students in their final year are eligible to apply, provided they complete their course requirements including practical examinations/viva assignments before August 03, 2026. Such applicants will have to produce a certificate to that effect at the time of admission. The admission of such applicants will, however, remain provisional until they produce mark sheet/ transcript and a degree certificate establishing their eligibility.

The last date for submitting the proof of qualifying examination transcripts is September 30, 2026 failing which the provisional admission will automatically stand cancelled, no fees will be refunded.

The selection of applicants into the Program is made through screening of application and interview. While evaluating students for admission, due weightage is given to their academic distinction, awards in Games & sports, Literary & cultural activities, and other extra cocurricular activities.

Original certificates and Domicile certificate should be produced for verification at the time of admission. The admission decision will be communicated after the admission process.

There shall be a special provision for admission of students belonging to the State of Nagaland (Domicile) in any course of ICFAI University, Nagaland, which shall not be less than 25 (twenty-five) percent of seats in each course/discipline subject to the students meeting the minimum qualifying requirements referred to above. The fee for the Domicile students is less than that of the nondomicile students (please refer the fee chart).

Seats remaining unfilled under special reservation may be filled up by allotting the same to students belonging to Open Category.

Fee Schedule

Admission Fee

Admission fee of 5,000 is to be paid by all the selected candidates of BA, B.Com, BBA and BCA immediately after the admission decision is announced. The last date for payment of admission fee is July 21, 2026.

Caution Deposit

All UG students are requited to pay a Caution Deposit of 5,000 along with the First Semester fee. The caution Deposit will be refunded without interest after adjusting for dues, if any to the students on completion of the program.

Semester Fee

Students must pay the program fee on the first day of each semester, after which a fine of 40 per day will be charged. The First Semester fee is to be paid on or before July 21, 2026.

Note

Domicile refers to Students from State of Nagaland. Non-Domicile refers to Students from States other than Nagaland.

All Payments should be made through Bank Challan, in favor of “The ICFAI University, Nagaland - Fee Collection A/C” Details about the payment modalities and the relevant Challan can be obtained from the Accounts Officer. Payments can also be made online through the university’s website at www.iunagaland.edu.in.

The ICFAI University, Nagaland offers merit scholarships to students pursuing the UG & PG programs. These scholarships are based on past academic record and semester-wise performance.

  3. A. Merit Scholarship based on past academic Record

    Percentage of marks achieved in Class XII (or equivalent) for UG programs and graduation for PG programs will decide the amount of scholarship. Scholarship will continue semester after semester only on maintaining a minimum 6.0 GPA in the previous semester.

B. Merit Scholarship based on Semester-wise Performance

Transportation Facility

Bus facility is provided for easy connectivity of the students. Registered bus commuters are required to pay for the bus fees for a Semester regardless of whether one travel or not for which an undertaking shall be obtained.

Hostel Facilities

University do not have hostel accommodation inside the campus. However University provides assistance to identity the suitable private hostel accommodation near University campus.
